This time, our “Dollar Baby” comes from a young filmmaker who is a boxer and trainer, but when he’s not in the ring he’s behind the film camera making his stories come to life. His contribution to the “Dollar Baby” film program is King’s short story, Strawberry spring and his name is Doveed Linder.
This Stephen King short story was first published in Ubris magazine in 1968 and in 1978 added to the short story collection, Night shift. The story is about a narrator thinking back over a horrible event that took place at New Sharon College over a Strawberry Spring.
When it comes to “time travel” films or shows, one thinks of Back to the Future, Bill & Ted, or even Dr. Who, but time travel in a Superhero movie? Would it work? Well, that’s the beauty of Superhero movies…anything is possible. This film is a “double-sequel”. It is a sequel to the 2011 box office hit, X-men: First Class and also to 2006, X-men: The Last Stand. This film brings the cast of characters from both together in one film.
It seems many actors come from the Mid-West to make it big in the film industry. That’s not always the case. Actor John Philbin was born April 27, 1960, right in the film capital of the world, California. Acting wasn’t even his first love. It was the awesome waves, and the sandy beaches of sunny southern California, that were John’s first passion.

Pablo was born February 2, 1982 in Vineland, New Jersey. From that moment on, he was captivated by the magic of movies and filmmaking, especially horror films. Pablo was born into an artistic family, he used art as a form of expression or as he calls it, “horrificart”.
Wake (Roark Critchlow) is the leader of a space scavengers team who finds an alien object during one of its universe searches. This object reveals an unknown technology known as the Chaos Generator, made up of three parts, and it attracts Captain Jekel (Sean Patrick Flanery) who is trying to reunite the alien item.
As a special Easter treat, Northgate Pictures is egg-cited to present the first six minutes of Jeremy Todd Morehead‘s Easter Sunday. The slasher throwback stars Robert Z’Dar (Maniac Cop) and Ari Lehman (Friday the 13th).
The director of the film, Brian Stillman, has been a 15yr. professional journalist, a writer of Guitar World, Future Music, Super 7, Revolver magazine and the New York Post. In 2007, he did his first documentary, Toys Are Us: A Revolution in Plastic, which focused on the designing of toys. Brian is also a die-hard collector of toys from the 1930′s-1960′s. He is a huge Star Wars, Star Trek, and Dr. Who fan as well. And a very talented filmmaker as I have now seen for myself.
