DREW NEWMAN – Interview

Drew Newman

Drew was born March 17, 1976, in St. Louis, MO. He was a typical child of the 80′s, enjoying the films and music of the era he was growing up in. He also enjoyed going to summer camp, where he first discovered the world of Stephen King. One particular summer, while at camp, a friend let Drew borrow one of his Bachman books, (of course we know Bachman better as, Stephen King’s alter ego), and Drew was hooked! Who would’ve thought years later that Drew would be part of the Stephen King universe, through the Dollar Baby Program.

He had story lines in other limited run issues, until a few years later, when he had his own monthly comic book. Now 53 years later, Doctor Strange comes to the big-screen in a new blockbuster film.

It has been twenty years since the first Independence Day hit the big screen. With an all-star cast, and Will Smith, ID ruled the box office in 1996. As I say it’s twenty years later, and the aliens want their revenge. Like the tag line says: ‘We had twenty years to get ready“, but the question is, are they? With no Will Smith, a confusing plot, and lack of character development, IDR isn’t quite the sequel we hoped for.

When Alice returns home to England after a very long trip to China, she finds out her ex-fiance Hamish, has taken over her family business. He threatens her with selling her father’s ship, and hangs the fate of her family home over her head as well.

The film begins with a flashback to 1991, in Siberia, where Hydra has brainwashed Bucky Barnes(Captain America’s childhood buddy who was in the last two films), and turns him into the Winter Soldier.
