TAKEN – Easy Peasy
This is an interesting tale about a young little boy riding his bicycle on a rainy/wet dirt road with woods all around him. We’re not quite sure where he’s going, but he’s in a hurry. We find his final destination at the mailbox to get his mail. And it’s back to the house he goes. However, there is someone … watching and following him.
As the little boy get’s home, he decides to find things to occupy himself. Apparently the parents aren’t home and he has to take care of himself. Doing what makes him happy at the kitchen table; playing cards, reading comic books, playing a word game … he stops to get some water. What he doesn’t know is; the mysterious figure is lurking about. Once he returns to the table, he is suddenly frightened by a message left for him made my the letters from the game.
He goes to his bedroom; suddenly there’s heavy footsteps. He goes outside to get away from who is after him. Scared and alone, he doesn’t know where to go. Suddenly out of nowhere it’s … to find out, I recommend this entertaining tale.
At first I wondered why the little boy wore sunglasses the whole time and then why he stayed so calm for a story that is suppose to scare you, but by films end … it made sense. Nice twist at the end and even tho low budget, it was well made.
