DEJA VU – Raifis Rodriguez
A young girl sits alone at home in her bedroom. Relaxing and enjoying her evening reading in bed. Caught up in her reading, there’s a sudden disturbance, the door to her bedroom suddenly slams shut! This startles the young girl and she investigates to how it could’ve closed on it’s own?
She walks quietly, yet cautiously down the hall to her bathroom where she looks for aspirin. While she closes the medicine cabinet, she’s starled and scared by a masked intruder behind her, but when she turn’s around…there’s no one there. She look’s in the shower, but still no one…until behind her stands the masked intruder!
Frightened and relieved it was only a dream, she get’s up from her bed and walks to the bathroom, opens the medicine cabinet, looks behind the shower curtain, and then … Deja Vu!
This film was interesting and shows it’s “trying” to scare you, but in horror films, when they show the “it’s a dream” scene, I always feel … cheated. I didn’t find the intruder scary at all and the ending is no surprise … predictable.
