Drew was born March 17, 1976, in St. Louis, MO. He was a typical child of the 80′s, enjoying the films and music of the era he was growing up in. He also enjoyed going to summer camp, where he first discovered the world of Stephen King. One particular summer, while at camp, a friend let Drew borrow one of his Bachman books, (of course we know Bachman better as, Stephen King’s alter ego), and Drew was hooked! Who would’ve thought years later that Drew would be part of the Stephen King universe, through the Dollar Baby Program.

Dave was born in Logan County, West Virginia on August 3rd, 1974. He attended Logan County High School and graduated in 1992. From there, he moved on to attend the West Virginia State University, where he majored in Communications, and graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor’s in Science Communications.

Jacob Norlin was born in Manitowoc, WI, son to Paul and Edie Norlin. Jacob came from an entertainment background for his parents were in that field. His father, Paul, a professor of music education and Edie an educator, actor, and theatrical director. Jacob moved to Newark, Ohio and graduated from Newark High School. He continued his education at Ohio State University graduating in 2011 with a Bachelors in Film Studies. Jacob is a screenwriter as well as director and is continuing his filmmaking career to date.

Peter Szabo is originally from Toronto Ontario Canada. Attending St. Martin Secondary School, later studying English Literature at the University of Toronto. After receiving his B.A., Peter appeared as an extra in TV and films. In 2006, he wrote, produced, and directed his first short film “ A Day in the Life of a Psychopath”. Also in 2006, he produced the documentary “Change Now for the Future: Perspective from Guelphs Street Youth”, “Numb”, a music video, and feature film “Dead Genesis” for Foreign and USA distribution.

Patrick was born March 4, 1983 and from the southern city of Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended Central Cabarrus High School, later attending Appalachian State University where he studied Computer Information Systems. It wasn’t long before Patrick’s love for films would lead him to be a part of the Stephen King Universe by making a “Dollar Baby” of his own and his vision of King’s short story, Rest stop.

One of the joys of being a writer and supporting Independent talent is, the amazing discoveries you make along the way. It doesn’t matter if it’s an Artist painting, a new young face on the music scene performing at a club, a short film being played at a film fest, or in this case, an author releasing their new self-published book. As a full supporter of Indie’s, I get a lot of joy spreading the word when I, myself, discover these type of talents. Case in point, author Shawn S.
