When it comes to summer blockbusters, you can always count on many sequels. Some do well, others become great disappointments, but all have high expectations and make lots of money. However, it doesn’t happen very often, very rare in fact, that a sequel goes above and beyond any other film that’s released that summer. A film that gives you every possible level of expertise a movie goer is looking for in a sequel.

When it comes to “time travel” films or shows, one thinks of Back to the Future, Bill & Ted, or even Dr. Who, but time travel in a Superhero movie? Would it work? Well, that’s the beauty of Superhero movies…anything is possible. This film is a “double-sequel”. Back in the 1980′s, it seems the Action genre was a “no holds barred” type of film making. It was just pure violence, but it was also loud, bloody, gory, muscles, sweat, big guns, and even bigger named stars like Stallone, Schwarzengger, and Willis. They were fun, exciting, action-packed. As Hollywood digs through it’s pile of franchise’s to reboot, it appears they’ve found their next franchise to give the modern day makeover. I’m talking about that 1987 Scifi/Action classic, Robocop.
